Ash dieback tree removals in Malton and the surrounding areas.

What is Ash Dieback?

Ash dieback, also known as Chalara, is a highly destructive disease affecting Ash trees throughout most of the United Kingdom. At the time of writing, whilst there are large swathes of trees affected throughout the South and parts of the North of England, it has until now been relatively scarce in the areas immediately around Malton.

Hazard & risk

Ash dieback is already causing considerable damage to the UK’s ash population, and aside from the devastating effect this is having on woodland biodiversity and ecology, it also poses a risk to persons and property. This is especially the case for trees in urban environments, or roadside trees.

safe removal

Due to the manner in which Chalara affects Ash trees, removing them can be far more hazardous because of how the infected timber reacts to being cut. Where possible we utilise mechanical tree removal methods, thereby reducing the hazards normally associated with manual tree felling and removal.
